Why edit a PDF
Filling in a form that has no fields, adding a note to a quote, inserting a logo or highlighting an important passage: Edit PDF lets you do all of this without printing or scanning. You write on PDF pages directly, choose the font, size and color, and undo in one click if needed.
This tool adds text, images and shapes on top of the document. It doesn't change the text already in the PDF. The Hide tool places a rectangle that covers an area on screen, but the content stays in the file: to truly remove sensitive information, use the Redact PDF tool.
Frequently asked questions
Is my file safe?
It is processed right in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers: your PDF never leaves your device.
Can I edit the text already written in the PDF?
No. You can add text, images and shapes, but not change the existing text. To rework the content, convert the document with PDF to Word.
How do I add text to PDF pages?
Place a text element where you want on the page, then choose its font, size and color. You can also add images, rectangles, highlighter, freehand drawing and hiding boxes: each element can be moved and deleted.
Does the Hide tool really erase the content?
No, it only covers it. The text is still in the file. To remove it permanently, use Redact PDF.
How do I sign my document?
Use the Sign PDF tool, which lets you draw, type or upload a simple electronic signature.
