Why add a watermark to an image
A watermark shows who a photo belongs to once it's out there online. Photographers, craftspeople, sellers on classifieds sites and content creators watermark image files before posting them: they add watermark to photo uploads with their name, website or logo. It discourages reuse without permission and gets the creator noticed when the image is shared.
Placed discreetly in a corner, it signs the image without spoiling it. Repeated as a tile pattern across the whole surface, it becomes much harder to remove, useful for a copy of an ID sent to a third party. The size adapts to each image: the result looks the same whatever its resolution.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images safe?
They are processed right in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers, your photos and your logo never leave your device.
How do I add logo to photo files?
Choose "Logo", then add your PNG, JPG or WebP file. A PNG with a transparent background gives the best result.
Where can I place the watermark?
In one of the nine available positions, from the corners to the center, or repeated as a tile pattern across the whole image.
Can the watermark be removed?
It's part of the saved image. A discreet watermark in a corner can still be cropped out, though: the tile pattern protects better.
Is there a limit?
You can process up to 20 images at a time, 50 MB max each, with the same watermark.
