Why scan a document to PDF
You don't need a scanner to send a certificate, a proof document or a signed contract. With Scan to PDF, your phone becomes a mobile document scanner: you photograph the pages, crop out the table or background, and get a single clean A4 PDF that most online services accept.
Grayscale makes the file lighter and often makes the text easier to read. Black and white looks close to a real scan, ideal for a typed document. The resulting PDF contains images: to search or copy its text, run it through the OCR PDF tool afterward.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos safe?
They are processed right in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers: your photos never leave your device.
Can I use HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Yes. HEIC photos are converted automatically in your browser before the PDF is created.
How many pages can I add?
Up to 30 photos, 30 MB each. Each photo becomes an A4 page of the PDF, in the order you chose.
What's the best way to scan a document with your phone?
Photograph the document flat, in good light, with no shadows, then crop as close as possible to the edges of the sheet. Grayscale works for most documents.
Can I copy the text from the resulting PDF?
Not directly, since each page is an image. Run the PDF through the OCR PDF tool to make its text selectable.
