How to compress an image to 100KB

  1. 1 Add your images Choose up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP files, or drag them into the box. The 100 KB target is already selected.
  2. 2 Compression in your browser Each image is reduced in quality, and in size if needed, until it weighs less than 100 KB.
  3. 3 Download The savings are shown for each image. Several files come in a ZIP.

When you need an image under 100 KB

Sites make you compress image to 100KB for profile photos, ID proofs, photos of documents such as a bill or a certificate, and attachments on application or support forms. A phone photo of a few megabytes is too heavy, and resizing it by hand takes time.

100 KB is enough for a clear photo of a face or a readable picture of a single page. For a document, take the photo straight on, in good light, and crop the edges so only the paper remains. If the result still looks soft, crop tighter or reduce the dimensions: a smaller image keeps more detail at the same weight.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reduce an image to 100KB?

Add it on this page: the 100 KB target is preset. The tool lowers the quality, and the dimensions if needed, until the image fits under 100 KB.

How do I compress a JPG to 100KB without losing quality?

Crop out what is not needed before compressing. For most photos, the loss at 100 KB is hard to see on screen, and the tool keeps the best quality that fits.

Can I compress several images to 100KB at once?

Yes, up to 20 images at a time, 50 MB max each. You get them back in a ZIP archive.

Are my photos sent to a server?

No. The compression runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free and without an account.
